Bulgan Aimag is a key transit region located on the route to northern Mongolia. Surrounded by tranquil steppe landscapes, it serves as an essential stopover before continuing to Lake Khövsgöl. A one-night stay is included in the itinerary to allow travelers to rest comfortably and prepare for the long journey ahead. The distance from Ulaanbaatar is approximately 480 km, with a travel time of around 7 hours.

Bulgan - Khuvsgul Lake

Khuvsgul Lake is one of Mongolia’s most iconic large freshwater lakes, so deep and vast that locals often refer to it as 'the sea'. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the area is exceptionally well preserved, featuring crystal-clear waters, dense forests, and a rich, diverse ecosystem. Around the lake, nomadic communities—including the Tsaatan people—continue their traditional way of life, offering a rare opportunity to witness the ongoing harmony between nature and humanity. It is a symbolic natural landmark of northern Mongolia, where this coexistence can still be felt up close today. This area is the cultural heartland of the Tsaatan people, who live alongside reindeer as part of their traditional nomadic way of life. Reindeer are central to their mobility, livelihood, and daily existence. Erdenet is Mongolia’s third-largest city, developed during the Soviet era around one of the world’s largest mining complexes and characterized by its distinct Russian-style urban landscape. It serves as a convenient stopover where travelers can briefly pause during the journey and experience the city’s atmosphere along with the surrounding scenery. The travel time is approximately 5 hours, covering a distance of about 400 km.

The deposit is applied toward advance reservations for accommodations and various services required for tour arrangements and is therefore non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

30 days or more before departure: Full refund
15–29 days before departure: 15% cancellation fee of the total tour price
6–14 days before departure: 20% cancellation fee of the total tour price
5 days before departure or on the day of departure: No refund
